My long-awaited vacation has come... I'm so looking forward to it, both for the relaxation it promises and the likelihood that I'll have time to spend with not only my loving family but also my sketchbook, which I often treat like an estranged lover during my day-to-day life. Maybe one day I'll be able to just take an art vacation.  That would be awesome... :-) Do you find off-time to be artistically inspiring?  If so, are there places you go that help stimulate you, or is it just a break from the daily grind?  :-D

I keep saying "my scanner is down", but it really isn't.  The reality is that I've been drawing on a bound sketchbook, and it's difficult to scan the pages without distorting the image (example here).  So rather than deal with this page-by-page, I'm going to finish off the sketchbook, which only has five-ish pages to go, and then unbind it and scan all the images flat.
