Day 13 - Insect (Cicada Samurai Girl)

Celia is a Cicada Girl -- a rare samurai among the generally pacifistic species. The seldom-heard cicada battle cry is impossible to forget, and may actually deafen non-cicadas nearby.  Cicadas as a whole are among the loudest insects on earth, and their warriors such as Celia are louder still.
Celia and her samurai comrades fill a vital role in cicada society by defending the Great Emergence every seventeen years.  While all the other mature cicada are out essentially partying, the samurai are defending them from threats too numerous to even list until their frenzy of activity comes to an end. 
And, with that, the surviving samurai (a naturally longer-lived caste) gather in solemn reflection of their success amid the bodies of those they have protected.  There, they remove their armor and propagate as well in a deafening crescendo.  They deposit newly-lain eggs into the armor of their comrades, to grow with the rest of the brood they will protect.  Their final hours are generally spent in quiet meditation.
